Stepped

The Stepped profile came out of the Art Deco era of the 1930’s-40’s. Stepped profiles echoed the new machine age containing a geometric decorative element characterising the mouldings often used in Art Deco interiors.

At Provans Timber and Hardware we stock the Stepped profile in Craftwood MDF, Pine FJ and Tasmanian Oak in various sizes. Whilst the Stepped profile does have a traditional history, it has proven to be a very popular choice in many contemporary applications, due to its stepped lines.
